Philips AventStraw Cups

I have tried few straw cups and my son loved his avent dinosaur cups from the day one! And he’s 16 months and still his favorite! No leak, not easy to open for him and easy to wash!

My daughter loves this leak-proof cup and we love it as it is easy to wash this cup.

We were buying various sippy cups trying to find something our little guy would take to. He would do great with a silicone straw in a cup, but nothing else besides a bottle. Obviously the straw in a cup isn’t practical for everyday use. We tried 360’s, hard spouts (only briefly due to wanting to ensure proper palate development), soft spouts, and whatever else we could find. Once we got these straw cups, it only took a day for him to figure out the handles and the function. We were so impressed by these cups that we bought 2 more. These are the only sippy cups we have used for almost 4 months now, and we’re not looking for any others anytime soon. I read a review saying that the lids pop off when dropped. I cannot speak to that user’s experience or how tight they screwed the lid on, but I can say that we have NEVER had the lid come off unexpectedly. Our little guy has easily dropped it over 100 times in the 4 months we have had it, mostly on the hard kitchen floor from the height of his high chair. The flip cover pops off more than half the time if you have it attached (yes it is annoying, but I’m sure it’s so it doesn’t break), but we have never had the lid come off and spill water or milk on the floor. We just started only attaching the flip-top when we traveled with it. It will occasionally spill, leak, or dribble, but not more than any other sippy. We have experienced where water will push up and out through the straw when it is set down (not with flip top closed), and where the straw will spin a little when you screw the top on, but we recognize that there is no perfect sippy cup. I got a chance to try these cups as part of the weeSpring Parent Panel and I absolutely love them!! My 11 month old son didn't like traditional sippy cups, so when we tried these I was a little skeptical. But...he LOVES them!! They deliver the right amount of liquid without overwhelming him, they don't leak, and they are very easy to clean. He likes them so much that I went out and bought another set! Yet another great product from Philips Avent!!

My 10-month-old immediately understood what this cup was for, and, after a few attempts, started sucking water down easily. The handles are very easy for him to grasp. The cup has also taken a beating with many drops from the high chair (testing how gravity works...) without failing in any way. The only downside - and this may be just my baby, rather than a product flaw - is that the straw is so wide that sometimes my son sucks up too much water, which then dribbles out of his mouth. Or it might just be that he enjoys spitting out water - oh, babies! I received these cups as a gift from the weeSpring Parent Panel.

I was so excited to receive these cups as a part of the WeeSpring Parent Panel! I did a thorough "check out" of the cups and read all of the literature that I received with the cups, and was very impressed. As these were the first transition/sippy cup that we tried with him I let him play with it before hand so that he could explore. He loves opening and closing the lid, playing with the straw, and generally was much more interested in these cups than any of the ones I purchased myself. Unfortunately we discovered for medical reasons that my son could only have thickened liquids and as the cups are only intended for water and milk so when I tried to put the thickened liquid in my son was unable to drink it. I will say that it came apart so easily for cleaning and I can't wait until we are able to use these in the future! I recommended them to my SIL and her son loves it too!

I received these cups as a gift from the weeSpring Parent Panel. I really like this sippy cup because all internal parts are see-through so I know there is no mold, it is easy to clean, and it does not leak when my baby bangs it upside down on her tray.

I'm so thankful to have come across these straw cups! My husband and I have been on a mission to transition our son from bottle to trainer or sippy cup and (it feels like) we have tried almost every option under the sun! Our boy is 12 months old and surely has his preferences! I was a little weary when offering this straw cup because we had already tried to get him to use an assortment of sippy or trainer cups with soft spouts, etc. This was his very first time using a cup with straw and he took to it right away! We have been using this for over a month and it has been his go-to! He's thrown it from his highchair and it is very durable having withstood multiples drops. The non-spill lid does pop off if he throws it hard enough but it's easy to snap back on. I reviewed the literature that came with the product and they instructed to use only water or milk with their cup -- we have only used ours for water so far and it's worked out really well. I will purchase these and recommend them to other moms looking for a transition cup. I got a chance to try these cups as part of the weeSpring Parent Panel.

Love these cups! These were the first straw cups my son tried and very easily got the hang of it. They are very durable as he constantly drops them. They hold up really well. The top cover usually pops off when he drops them but they snap back on easily. The curved straw is smart however I wish it was just a little longer. The cup itself is heavy, rather the top is. But compare red to others we tired its heavier. We will purchase more for sure. Thanks to the weeSpring Parent Panel for sending us these cups.
