Hairclipper series 1000Hair clipper

Absolutely fantastic purchase. Originally purchased just to do my head hair. The blades are so efficient, and cut so accurate, I now use to shave my facial hair as well. I have gone through 4 clippers sets in the last two years. I wish I'd thought of Philips sooner. Guess you do get what you pay for!

this is the best clipper i've ever had. no noise, no warming up and really easy to use charged or not.

This Philips Norelco Hair Clipper is one of the best I have used,especially with the many setting it has to choose the length of hair to cut.It is very easy to clean,just rinse under warm water.The blades are self sharpening so you don't have to worry about dull blades.

The unit is light weight and maintenance free. No oiling or taking it apart for maintenance. Love the rotating head, thought it takes some getting used to with the head turned diffferent that the conventional straight cutter. The two things that I would change is the 1. Body style. I'd add a longer handle type shape instead of the "egg" shape. I've found it a bit hard to hold at some angles. 2. The power cable being a removable cord make is easy to unplug when in use. I would make the cord a connected cable that will not pull out when trying to move.

These clippers give a professional finish, they retain their charge and can be easily transported. They also look attractive in design. The storage is not a particular "solution", though. It is simply the black polystyrene casing the clippers come in. Without this rather large container the very fragile clipper combs will certainly break during travel or if they fall. One of mine I have already used a powerful plastic cement to repair.

trimmer cuts very close and has plenty of power. Only have had it for about a month so I can not comment on durability.

This product is good in every respect but one. The attachment that adjusts for the length of one's beard is useless. It will not stay in position and therefore only cuts one length of hair, short. It is rendered useless as an adjustable trimmer.

My one star rating is based on the This is an excellent product massively let down by fragile combs which, as another review has said, are likely to break. Take it from me, they do. Philips is a big company with huge resources so knows how to make this component properly in a material that lasts. Compare the easily broken mid sized comb to the much more flexible material used for the short stubble comb which is unlikely to break. Why not use the same material for both? The replacement part cost (if you can find it) is disproportionately expensive. The cynic in me says this is deliberately built in obsolescence and/or a poor attempt to generate income from spare parts sales. Not good given all we know about recycling.
