I was really happy with this steamer. It took only a couple of minutes to heat up and then worked great from the first pass on a shirt. I tried it horizontally and vertically. I can’t decide which way I liked more! The clothes didn’t get wet, which I was concerned about, they stayed dry, so no smelly clothes. If you want to put a crease in something, it works great too.

I absolutely adore using this steam generator! It almost feels more like playing air hockey than ironing! It glides a so effortlessly across clothes as the creases simply melt away. I love that the ironing plate is so large, and yet so light, as it helps me get through our family’s ironing in no time. I was a little disappointed that it is slightly too long to fit on the iron rest of my ironing board, but this isn’t a big issue for me as I work near a bench and the hose has plenty of length. The large, sturdy handle makes it easy to move this wonder around, though I feel that it makes the machine slightly larger than it needs to be even when it is folded down. The de-calc is well designed in that it doesn’t have a filter that needs to be changed—simply give the machine a gentle shake after it has cooled down and pour the water out of the plug in the side. I would definitely recommend this steam generator to anyone who wants to make ironing less of a chore and more of a delight!!!

I really loved this product! It quickly irons clothing easily. It’s portable and easy to move and I like that it can fit up to 1.4L so I hardly need to refill it. It glides easily over clothing leaving them. I thought that maybe for someone else who wasn’t very used to steam irons that the instruction photos weren’t very clear on how to use and may have needed words. But I found it very simple to use.

It has a self adjusting temperature control on fabrics, i found this was fantastic as it saves time adjusting temperatures according to fabric you are ironing helping me iron everything at once rather than waiting for temperature controls to adjust to fabrics, with alot of delicate fabrics i worry i will burn them if the iron is to hot with this sensational product no need to worry about that as it has a built in option to not burn fabrics. I literally ironed bed sheets and doona covers so quick rather than continuously rearranging the sheets on the ironing board it truly was quick and easy so time efficient! I no longer need a few hours to do ironing in my family anymore this Phillips steam generator is the best product out there i will be recommending to family and friends as soon as available! I would say it takes a 3rd if the time to do the ironing. I prefer to do the ironing on the ironing board a little old fashioned that way but would be perfect to do hand held for the occasional crease. Philips I am converted

I am excited firing up the steam generator, hearing it heat up and then the magic *beep*, announcing its readiness to perform whatever ironing job is before it. Achieving smooth, wrinkle-free clothes is made so simple. The iron is light, ergonomic and glides over whatever material is placed between it and the ironing board. Whether on auto or manual steaming, clothing is pressed flat each and every time with minimal effort. The steam is continuous and doesn't "lag". The added safety benefit of the steaming function ceasing when the iron is lifted or left on the ironing board is very smart and reassuring, making it extremely difficult to burn any of your special shirts or cherished dresses. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use to hate ironing, now I enjoy it! Using the Philips 7000 series perfectcare steam generator made ironing a breeze. It cuts the time of ironing in half! I found it glides over the clothes so easy removing every wrinkle. I found I only had to go over the wrinkle once and it was perfect. Doesn’t feel like it is burning the clothes, or give off that hot smell. It isn’t too bulkly, and very nice and light to move. I will never return back to my old iron. I cannot believe I never considered this before. I highly recommend this product.

My whole family is able to effortlessly iron and steam garments without my help, as a mum of 3 boys not having to worry they will burn or ruin their clothes simply pays for itself, its that easy! The start up time is super quick and comes with a large water tank so you get get through quite a lot of ironing in one go without having to constantly top up the water. Its a very cool looking machine with its gold and deep navy colour tones. Would I recommend, most definitely and so happy with this new appliance, it will get a lot of use in my household.
