PerfectCare Compact PlusSteam generator iron

I have always used Philips Steam Generator irons but this one is much faster and lighter to hold, really pleased with it.

My wife and I are delighted with our new Phillips PerfectCare iron. Let's be honest...she does 90% of the ironing but when I do (when the moon is blue) it's a dream. To have as much steam as you want on tap, the easy cradle for the iron plus the light weight makes ironing easier. Without questions we would recommend this iron.

This steam iron has a large water tank (plenty for the average ironing session) Responds quickly and addresses the thickest of fabrics - or multiple layers.

I had a Philips iron previously that lasted an unbelievable 15 years. It still worked, but the steam shot was giving up the ghost so I was in the market for a replacement. I didn't consider other brands because my last iron was such a workhorse. How many small appliances last that long these days? This product is next level. It cuts ironing time in half and makes garments look like new (cotton t shirts and knits lose that 'pilled' look on ironing and regain a nice even finish). I have lots of fiddly blouses with ruffles and smocking, the steam really comes in handy here, just hold the iron an inch above the fabric, give it a few shots, and rearrange the ruffles so they 'cool' in the right position. The unit is easy to store and not too bulky, and the tank is easily refilled under the tap. I'm one of those weird people who get a strange satisfaction from getting through a pile of ironing, and I find this product has me looking around the house when I'm done to find anything else that needs an iron! Slightly more expensive than a regular iron, but worth every cent. Thank you Philips, loyal customer here for life.

I should have gotten this earlier! It saves up so much time ironing my pile of clothes! For my previous iron, I would only be able to iron for 1-2 minutes before the iron went into “water boiling” mode and I had to wait. It was frustrating because the bulk of the time was spent waiting and waiting. But my new Philips iron is a total game changer! I no longer have to top up water and I simply have to wait for only 2 minutes at the beginning and the steam function will always be ready for me. Besides that, I do not need to adjust the temperature for different materials. How convenient! Best of all, no more manually pressing the decalc button continuously whole shaking my iron; this magic iron auto decalc at the push of a button and even comes with a convenient container to collect the dirty water. I’m in total awe of my new iron! Love it max!

As I had owned a GC9682/86 for my home, thus got this for my dad's place instead. Same easy ironing functionality and very impressed with the Steam effect. Good for those whom prefer lighter iron feel

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The packaging looks attractive. It gives sufficient details about the product. The manual adequately describes the functions for any average user. The physical look of the iron is welcoming. It has a 'gentle' yet futuristic look! Interestingly the absence of a dial which makes this iron amazing in its ability to iron clothes effectively. It handles creases very well and 1.5L of water goes a long way in ironing and hence dispense with the irritating need to refill every so often as with other brands of similar irons. Tough creases could be easily dealt with by using the steamer. Just 2 clicks and the iron activates the steamer, no fuss, no dials to maneuver,the steamer effectively removes touch creases easily. thus makes ironing chore a breeze.. I personally found the cord a bit too short, perhaps another meter long would be convenient. Furthermore the iron does take time to hear up but still worth the wait. Finally the steamer function could be lengthened a bit as currently there is a need to pull the trigger a bit too often if you use the steam function for a time. Nevertheless, certainly a boon to all those who do ironing.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The iron is awesome because i have no difficulty in ironing my hard uniform as previously with other iron. This iron only gave me 3 mins to finish up my blouse when i took abt 7 mins previously. My mum use to iron for many hours for my father’s uniform, now she takes half the time to finish up all his uniform! We used it to iron our shawls and less than a minute its done. It has definitely exceeded our expectations cos its Definitely faster & smoother & easy to use. I would highly recommend every household to own this iron, especially for those frequently iron their uniforms for work. Thank you insiders for thIs product.
