Philips 5400 SeriesFully automatic espresso machines

I have had many coffee machines over the years, The French press, American drip filter, Nespresso small and large pods, even my own grinders, but this machine is superb. You can adjust the grind, strength, quantity, even the milk Quantity all in your own personal profile, so you and 4 others can get exactly what you want without having to ask. My only criticism is the instructions to set it up. They are pretty dire, my advice is to watch the video, and when you first use it, don`t think the first cup of light brown water is what you get, allow the beans to get through the grinder and you will then savour the great coffee it makes.

As it was time to change our old coffee machine we chose this model as it gave us a choice of so many different choices best decision we have ever made

I have had a few machines but this produces the best coffee drink I need , it's easy to change from one person to the other and to keep everyone's favourite.

Makes great coffee and is easy to maintain Would of done with a better latte go system

I have now bought two of these coffee machines because I was so impressed with the first one I bought. Having used Nespresso ( capsules ) for a few years, making coffee with this coffee machine is matched with a Nespresso machine ( I was having to spend lots of money on the capsules every month ) in quality.

I love our machine, it makes so many great coffees and being able to have them with extra shots is perfect. I find I don't really buy coffee when out and about as it's such a waste of money. Can't fault it so far.

The simplicity of design and function is excellent. It makes great tasting coffee. My previous two (Siemens) machines both broke down in a matter of months with the same fault, so I decided to change direction and go for the Philips instead. What an eye-opener. Absolutely brilliant. The profile function is great as it allows my wife and I to select our own style of coffee without changing the settings all the time.
