Micro music system

I opted for the DCB3070 over the 2070 given the featured wOOx technology, 40 Watt RMS and the more stylish design & I couldn't be more pleased with my purchase. Standing proudly on its stand in my moderately sized kitchen (wall mounting available) it certainly looks the part and has drawn out positive comments from several visitors. The DAB/FM/CD/MP3-in/iPod dock all work perfectly with minimal effort or skill to get it all set up (took less than 5 mins and was fairly self explanatory). The sound is impressive for a micro-system of its size and the added wOOx system delivers deep bass even with the volume is turned up (though can be a bit 'barky' on MP3 tracks created with a lot of bass). Worth every penny. Would definately recommend.

great little Cd player and digital radio sounds excellent and very easy to use, I do not use the dock but i imagine that would be good too. the DAB radio works really well no extra ariel

For such a compact unit, the sound is surprisingly clear with remarkable depth without the ‘boom, boom, boom’ of a bass boost hi-fi. Bought for use in the kitchen, it does everything we want. The CD is as a cd is expected to be The DAB radio works fine FM Radio is OK The USB port is excellent and again, just works. The main reason as people in the house can store their own music on their own usb key. My Only gripes are (and this is very picky) - The FM reception is worse than the budget ProLine unit this is replacing and therefore the Philips unit is now in a different location to get reception, the bit of wire for the aerial may need a rethink? - Selection Radio stations that are stored as 1, 2, 3 etc. need scrolling through before selecting the station you want; you can’t just select 1, 2 or 3 from the remote - Selection radio stations on the remote is different for FM and DAB - Scrolling through the USB is confusing as the folder names are not displayed. Perhaps a software update in the future may sort some of these issues out? We haven’t tried the iPod/iPlayer connection as we don’t have one and don’t really want one However, I am really pleased with the DCB3070/10 and would recommend to any one IF YOU CAN FIND ONE!!. Philips is always out of stock. I bought from John Lewis on line and they are probably out of stock again SR

Great little music system with amazing sound, size and money taken into consideration. Can only recommened if you are looking for a compact system with good sound.

I chose the DCB3070 because it ticked all the boxes for me. I wanted a DAB radio with CD and dock. It also comes with FM capability a USB input and line-in for a range of MP3 players. My only worry prior to purchase was whether my DAB signal would be good but this was soon allayed and the product was simple to set up. The product is very stylish and in a compact form. It delivers great sound quality with the only niggle being the 'trailing cord' aerial which is difficult to position and frankly is an ugly acccessory. I wish Chrome telescopics were still the nom. That said I would strongly reccommend this product for the money.

I first of all bought the equivalent Panasonic model but was very disappointed with the DAB and FM reception, I returned it and bought this Philips model which has very good reception on both DAB and FM. Overall I am very pleased, one exception is the fact it will no charge my iPod Classic.

sounds good, quite powerful, only for the 30 pin ipod,iphone if i was buying one now i would look for bluetooth as well, simple plug, not a bulky transformer plug, like on some modals, makes it suitable for our kitchen units, fancy buying the iphone5 bedside dab radio clock with blue tooth, that sounds very good as well, and would charge up my iphone whilst i sleep,
