Lumea EssentialIPL - Hair removal device

After having paid a hairy arm and a leg in the past for professional laser hair-removal, which took months and months, hurt like lava and ended up with every single hair returning in the end this little device blew my mind. I have dark hair and light skin, so I do have that advantage, but I didn't expect this much of a result after 2 sessions (or at all for that matter) that didn't hurt at all. I'm now 4 sessions in (every 2 weeks repeat) and I would say that 80% of my bikini line is not returning, meaning that this result has been achieved 2x faster than with a laser, and I've already broken even. I'm happily moving on to other hairy zones without having to pay for another expensive laser-torture session.

I purchased this for doing my wife's legs and face. So far it is easy to use but could do with an adapter to make it easier to use on the face around the chin area. After using it now for a few times there seems to be a bit of a difference but only time will tell how good it is at reducing the hair growth completely

I bought this after years of having facial hair due to poly cystic ovary syndrome. I have done 3 treatments so far and another treatment due later this week. I cannot believe how successful it has been I am finding less and less hairs each morning I was shaving every morning I was so aware and embarrassed but I feel so much more positive about it.

I chose this model because of its design, although I love the gun shape design of the other models I have a health condition that affects my joints, so I always look for the lightest most comfortable tools available to me. As someone with a limited grip in their fingers I can say this is an excellent design, once you have the device lined up and ready to go by simply keeping your finger on the (very large) button, you can glide without having to keep pressing to activate. I have some hormonal hair issues, meaning no matter what I do the hair keeps returning, even after years of electrolysis and laser removal! This device was affordable and is very convenient for me.

I have used the Lumea for 4 months and I have to say the results are fabulous. One treatment on the annoying hair on my chin and it did not come back, my legs are now hair free, as are my underarms, my bikini line is not totally clear but the regrowth is so soft and downy that it is easily shaved away. I am still doing the maintenance treatments. I did download the Lumea app which always reminds me when treatments are due, and saves the levels you use. I chose the BR1861/00 as some reviews said gun shape was difficult to use, I am pleased I did as the unit is easy to hold and can be turned sideways with ease. Overall a super buy.

After 4 treatments I have noticed a marked change in my hair growth. There is a marked reduction. Some areas are taking longer but that is something i expected. The product is mostly easy to use, however the challenge arises when applying to curvy and bony areas

This product really works and I cannot recommend it enough. It's changed my life for the better, given me my confidence and made me feel so much more feminine. It works fairly quickly, depending on the area being treated. I just love it and so glad I trusted all the other great reviews. Highly recommended :) if you follow the instructions and keep up using you wont be disappointed. I always had dark, jet black hairs which is really annoying and hard to get rid of... (you know the one, you can see it grow even if they are just about to get to the surface....really annoying especially at summer, on the bikini line, under arm etc ) so after a good year of use I see a significant reduction and I do not have to shave often between 2 laser therapy. I am so glad that I found this product, and had faith in it. :)

Excellent for removing my thick hair above my top lip. No more hearing mums got a moustache.
