Bathroom radio

I have had one of these radios in my shower for many years, so long I can't actually remember when I bought my first one. I work as a cleaner and bought a second one to carry around with me while I work. I use rechargeable batteries and they need to be recharged about once a month, because I use it for long periods of time. My only gripe is that there's a long aerial wire on the bottom and it's forever getting stuck in things and this time I ripped it right out and the sound isn't quite so good. I'm looking to buy another one which is why I'm sitting on this page now but it looks as though it's no longer available ;-(

Perfect bathroom radio,ease of use,reception excellent,absolutely no faults,perfect product.

A beautifully designed product, good build quality with excellent clear sound. Can be heard over the sound of the shower which is key for a product such as this. Nice compact size so fairly unobtrusive and takes us very little space in the bathroom window where it resides. The only minus for me is that when the radio is on the clock is not displayed, the frequency of the radio is instead. Overall an excellent product I would recommend to others.

Just one camplaint, I don't like having to switch off the clock to enable me to listen to the radio.

Found it quite easy to set up and few if any probs except when it suddenly started shutting down of its own accord. closer inspection revealed a low battery changed them and all systems go again.

I initially chose this product based upon the fact is was a bathroom radio with an LCD clock, can be hung up, is water resistant and had good reviews. Let's get the negative out of the way first: The clock; The whole point of having a clock on my radio is so I can check the time whilst singing away in the shower. However, when the radio is on all that is displayed is the radio station frequency, not the time. Not very useful. The hanger; providing you can hook it over something you're ok. The hook won't come undone to attach it to the shower pole for example. You can hang it on the shower head but if you need to detach the head you have to keep removing the radio. It's water resistant; I'm a tad paranoid now because having had one shower with it I realised I'd put old batteries in! I opened the back to replace them and the battery compartment was wet and the water had already caused the inside to rust slightly! On a positive note, the sound is brilliant, the tuning is automatic and very easy to set up. You CAN set a timer to turn off the radio after so many minutes which is almost like having the clock in front of you! It can stand up on the corner of the bath. Changing the station and adjusting the volume is easy with wet fingers. Overall, it's a neat little radio with a good sound and was actually cheaper on the Philips website than Ebay or Amazon (at the time of purchase). I'd recommend this radio to anyone not needing to have it directly inline with the water flow, wanting a decent sound and a funky and stylish addition to their bathroom.

The AE2330 is a great choice for the bathroom with its pure white and aqua blue coloring it perfectly matched our modern looking bathroom. It's very very easy to use with auto tuning taking care of the set up for you. The sound is however slightly "small" and lacking crispness but that is due to the moisture proof speaker and physical dimensions of the unit. Don't be put off though, it is ideal for the job it was designed to do. One thing to be aware of is that it has a wire antenna for FM reception which I left coiled up as it's a little unsightly. Who wants a loose wire trailing over their nice bathroom after all??

The product is very good for the purpose ie transportable bathroom radio. The sound quality is not very good and I expect music would be poor. However I only wanted to replace my old Phillips radio,(with better sound quality) I'd had for at least 15 years, to listen to Radio 4 and for that it is adequate.
