7000 series4K Ultra Slim TV powered by Android TV™

This is my ultimate tv. Perfect colours, clarity in picture. Excellent sound and ambience. This is my 3rd Philips ambient. One 38", one 65" and this one. I was offered another brand name for same or cheaper price, but none had Philips Ambient ability. Shame we can no longer buy these in Australia. Easy to use the extensions eg. Usb, apps (not enough variety in Aust) and easy to understand the nitty gritty of pages. There is a but and it's a fairly big one. The "friendly" remote. It is the same remote of last 65" tv, but they have flattened the letter pads and changed the material to a rubber type pad and it's touchy. Very touchy. Only a very slight pressure is needed to alter your choice. As it is so sensitive, most times you have to have eyes on to make sure you are on the correct button. When someone uses a remote, we do it from touch with eyes on the tv. Like reading braille and if you press the wrong one, it races away to some other channel 5 places away. As with my last remote, this ones keyboard on the back, is of the same material with letters and numbers printed in white and blue on surface of the flat pads. With use, these numbers rub off. It was so annoying with my last tv and they have not improved this design. Hint....take a photo of the keyboard for the future. I am so satisfied with the tv itself and I highly recommend this to anyone, BUT just wish they had improved the remote as its the thing that's used every time the tvs on.

This TV has a fabulous picture. So clear it's amazing and great for watching sport or nature programmes. Wifi works well and was easy to set up. My only disappointment is that all the available Apps seem to be USA or British with no Australian tv stations or news services available. Also record function only works when you are watching the show so makes it difficult to schedule I,e the news to record to watch later. Still have to use my AppleTV to watch catch up except iView as regional areas don't get all the free TV and catch-up like the cities do without apps. Apart from those little things it's a great tv .
